UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITES

The Dolomites

That the Dolomites were something special has been known mostly by the inhabitants of the Badia valley and of course by all our guests.

Now also the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) has put the DOLOMITES in the list of the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITES.

The IUCN says about the Dolomites:
“Their beauty derives from the contrast between the green of the meadows and the vertical rock faces and the composition of the rock itself, which changes colour throughout the day. ”It also comes from the fact that each mountain in the range has its own unique, recognizable face and its own peculiar characteristics”.
