Nordic walkingWalking with the aid of sticks is a new and healthy sporting discipline that adapts excellently to a healthy holiday. This type of movement, which also involves use of the arms and the upper body muscles, pushes us to move more quickly. The forced rhythm acts positively on the cardio-circulatory system, resulting in increased training effectiveness.
Alta Badia offers nordic walking enthusiasts an excellent variety of suitable routes that are apt for all levels. During the winter there are 80 km of signposted routes to practise this sport on. During the summer the possibilities of practising this discipline are almost countless, the choice ranges from easy routes at the bottom of the valley to more demanding ones in the high mountains.
Nordic walking constitutes a variant to classical walking, with the difference being that nordic walking uses all of the muscles and it does put any strain on articulations.
