Winter walks in Alta Badia

Thousands of skiers overwhelm the ski-runs. Don't you want to join them?
Well, just plunge into the quiet and enchanted winter nature and walk in the hearth of vast bright extents of snow.

Alta Badia offers over 60 km hikes, linking up 5 towns of the resort.

The most beautiful hikes are:

..: to the Stores fields in San Cassiano:

leaving from Armentarola in San Cassiano, going along the cross country skiing track, you follow the trail that at a certain point goes to the right toward the Stores fields with pristine alpine spaces covered with meters off snow. After about 2 hours of walking you get to Pralongia, where you can find all kinds of refreshments.
the hunter's track in Corvara:

leaving from Hotel Planac in Corvara you follow the trail on the right side of the chair-lift. Walking through the woods you arrive in Incisa, where you find various refreshments.


All these hikes are perfect for sledding.
Every week Tourist Agencies offer the following escorted tours:

..: alpine ski tours and backcountry ski tours;
..: excursions by horse drawn sleigh;
..: excursions on snowshoes "ciaspole" to the Stores fields;
..: moonlight excursions on snowshoes.
