Colfosco:

Colfosco in Alta Badia is part of the municipality of Corvara, which is only 2 km away.

With its 1645m above sea level, it is the highest village in Val Badia. It rises at the foot of the Sella massif, in the heart of the Dolomites. Surrounded by woods, slopes and meadows, Colfosco is a real natural paradise.

Thanks to its position, it is the ideal place from which to start hiking both in summer and winter. It has attracted millions of tourists over the years, becoming in a short time one of the most famous tourist centers in Alta Badia. From the village you can also easily reach the Sellaronda, a destination for skiers and hikers of all ages and experiences.

The 15 km long ski slopes with different slopes and levels of difficulty make this place perfect for skiers of all ages and experiences. It is from here that the Sellaronda circuit passes. This slope connects the 4 most important valleys of the Dolomites, leading you to the discovery of wonderful landscapes.

The slopes of the Val Stella Alpina are particularly popular with families with children, which, with its wide snowy slopes, is the ideal destination for the quietest skiers; while the more experienced ones can try off-piste to experience moments of pure adrenaline. There are numerous ski schools in Colfosco with ski and snowboard courses for all levels and experiences.

This village is not only alpine skiing and snowy slopes, it is characterized by an uncontaminated nature ready to be explored. You can walk in the snow by torchlight, enjoy a walk with snowshoes or a carriage ride, stopping in the traditional huts and tasting the typical products of this valley.

The paths in Colfosco in Alta Badia will lead you to the Puez Odle Natural Park, where pleasant hikes await you. Surrounded in a monumental larch forest, this park has 5 incredible trails of varying difficulty and length, dragging the whole family into unprecedented fun. The Animal Park, on the other hand, will make you spend a day of nature and relaxation, together with chickens, rabbits, goats, sheep and many other animals.

This small but characteristic village is rich in Ladin traditions. You will come across weddings and Ladin events that will make you breathe the typical climate and atmosphere of Alta Badia.
