Longiarù is a hamlet of the municipality of San Martino in Badia. It is located at an altitude of 1398 meters above sea level.

the slopes, the snow and the magic of winter

Longiarù is one of the ski area of South Tyrol. During the winter season, the village is covered with a soft blanket of snow, giving you an unforgettable landscape.

The village is just a few minutes from the Plan de Corones ski area/Kronplatz ski area, with its 120 km of well-groomed slopes suitable for experienced skiers and beginners. Longiarù is part of Alta Badia and Dolomiti Super Ski areas. Here you will find km of perfect slopes with various levels of difficulty and will pass through the most interesting ski tours of the valley: the Sellaronda and the tour of Great War.

For those who don't like skiing, there are snowshoe hikes in the snow by moonlight, sleigh rides, skating rinks and tobogganing.

Longiarù:
valley of mills, its traditions and summer charm

Longiarù is a place renowned for its Valley of Mills.

In summer, the village is covered in greenery, the meadows are full of flowers and you can smell the scent of summer in the air. From the centre of Longiarù, a path branches off into the heart of the Dolomites. Here, between the two villages of Miscì and Seres, a themed trail begins that takes you to the 8 incredible mills of the valley.

In recent years, they have been restored and put back into operation, making them a tourist attraction that draws millions of visitors every year. The Val di Morins, the Ladin name for the Valley of the Mills, is a unique open-air museum of its kind: you will visit the mills, taste local products and much more!

Some of the most beautiful mills are located in Miscì/Seres. On the way to Vila di Seres, you cross a bridge and from here you can admire the first of the 8 mills along the stream. Many of them have been recently renovated and follow a 1.5 kilometre path. Visitors can admire them one by one and understand their oldest function.

The mill festival takes place every year in August. On this occasion, you can see the different types of water mills at work, learn about their processes and learn about the miller's trade. In summer, Longiarù offers numerous activities: from trekking to hiking or cycling to climbing and much more!
