San Martino in Badia is a municipality in Val Badia. It includes the hamlets of Longiarù, Antermoia and Piccolino or Picolein in Ladin.

The village is located at an altitude of 1127 m and lies at the foot of the Sass de Putia, one of the most panoramic in the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.

Where to ski in San Martino in Badia: just a few km away you will find the slopes of the ski area Plan de Corones, with its 26 km of well groomed slopes. This resort is also part of the Dolomiti Super Ski, the largest ski area in the Dolomites with 1200 km of slopes prepared every day.

These slopes are suitable for skiers of all ages and experience. For more experienced skiers, there is the Piculin black slope, one of the most difficult in the area. Thanks to San Martino in Badia's strategic location, you can easily reach the Alta Badia ski area and the Sellaronda.

For lovers of cross-country skiing, sledging and winter hiking, the Passo delle Erbe is the right place for you. This area has unspoilt nature and a unique landscape, which is why it is called ‘Alaska in miniature’. Also worth mentioning are the numerous natural toboggan runs, such as the ‘Do Juvel’, which hosted the natural tobogganing world cup in 2007.
